More Haiti 2007 Trip Summary

Here are some of the things that happened to prepare for the 2006 Mission Trip.  Hope you enjoy these pictures.

The Unimog is in Miami, on it's way to Haiti.

UNIMOG UPDATE:

Good morning everyone,
Time is drawing near for our journey to Haiti.  All the shoes are packed with vitamins, worm pills, treats and most especially - caring love and concern.  32 Duffle bags will accompany the team on this year's trip.  Thanks to all who helped in anyway.
This morning I had news that the UNIMOG and the other equipment has been loaded on the ship, the OSCAR ONE, in Miami and should be sailing for Mirogoane, Haiti within the next day or so.  Please pray that the ship and its cargo have safe travel to the port in Haiti and on to its final destination in Jeremie.
May your Holy Week experience be a time or grace and peace.
    Lloyd

The trip for 2007 will be  April 16th to  April 23rd. At the quarterly meeting we will also be getting updates on the Water well drilling project and the feasibility of a poultry project.  The great news is that hopefully when we get there the Unimog will be there!

Mission Team 2007

Those going to Haiti this year are Gary Lirette, Don Robinson, Faie and Deacon Lloyd Duplantis, Margaret Cronwell, Desiree Simoneaux, Fr. Ding, and Marian Schwab.  Unfortunately, Fr. Pat O'Brien will not be able to attend this year.  Not in the picture is Ronnie Thomas.  Included in this picture are Louise Lirette, Gary's wife, and Christine Robinson, Don's wife.

Prayer service.

They broke bread together, and prayed.  Just as the early church did, Deacon Lloyd led the group in prayer before and after a meal was shared.  The mission schedule was discussed and the group had a question and answer session.
