Calas

Calas is community up one of the mountains that surround Jeremie, Haiti.   A specialty hospital to treat burn victims and people with skin ailments was being planned for the community but there was no water source.    Haiti Mission was contracted by the director of the hospital project, Fr. Maxime, to drill a 500 foot deep well to supply water for the hospital and the families living in the area.  A huge aquifer was located at 200 feet and drilling continued to the 500 foot level so that an enormous reservoir would be available for years to come for this much needed specialty hospital.
